5 Quick Wins for Better LLM Visibility

Low-hanging fruit you can implement today to improve how AI sees your site.

Not everything in GEO requires a major overhaul. Here are five quick wins you can implement today.

1. Add Author Attribution

Every article and blog post should have a clear author. Use both visible bylines and structured data:

{
  "@type": "Article",
  "author": {
    "@type": "Person",
    "name": "Jane Smith"
  }
}

Time: 30 minutes to add to your template

2. Add Publication Dates

AI systems need to know if content is current. Include:

  • Visible publish date on the page
  • datePublished in JSON-LD
  • dateModified when you update

Time: 15 minutes

3. Create an FAQ Section

FAQ content is highly extractable. AI loves it. Add FAQs to key pages and mark them up with FAQPage schema.

Time: 1-2 hours per page

4. Check Your robots.txt

Make sure you're not blocking AI crawlers. Check for:

  • User-agent: GPTBot blocks
  • User-agent: Claude-Web blocks
  • User-agent: * with broad disallows

Time: 10 minutes

5. Add a Basic llms.txt

Create a simple llms.txt file explaining what your site is about:

# YourCompany

> Brief tagline

## About
What you do in 2-3 sentences.

## Key Pages
- /pricing
- /features
- /docs

Time: 20 minutes

Impact

These five changes won't make you dominate AI answers overnight. But they remove friction. They make it easier for AI to find, understand, and cite your content.

And that's what GEO is about: reducing the barriers between your content and AI visibility.
